Hey hey, howdy!
Summer is at its height now, and life is supposed to slow down about this time.
Traditionally, around this time and the Christmas/New Years season new releases all but stop.
The scene chills, etc.
Not anymore!
It has seemed to be much busier – so many events put on by larger numbers of groups/individuals in many more settings.
And new music, lol! Forget about it! Just do your best to Try to keep up.
Every day and night I’m motivated to seek out a new sound, idea, sight, etc and somehow add it to the stew.
Speaking of adding to the stew, several new additions to the studio have really added to the mayhem & slew of wires, cables, etc! With the new syndicated show on BSP.org, I get to be informative as well as musical. To make me sound the best I can, I purchased a Shure SM57 microphone and a Lexicon MX200 effects processor. I am thoroughly enjoying mixing on the Pioneer cdj 400’s, but instead of moving up to a more deluxe unit, will keep this for practice and invest in a nice Apple Lappy and Ableton –
yep, I intend to remix and produce ð
I hope to do a bit of traveling soon to visit several friends around the country (and maybe further ð
soon and will try to pick up a few gigs along the way ð
Oh right, the book idea…it’s a subject I know a lot about, some may think it’s a trifle, while others will regard it as an invaluable reference ð
This is the broadcast area of the studio – Denon DN-X400 mixing board with Lexicon MX200 effects processor with Shure 57M microphone. Pioneer 800 mixer, 2 Technique 1200âēs, 1 Pioneer cdj 400, 1 Gemini 1100 cdj, 1 Numark Txxi TT, 1 Stanton T.92 USB TT, 1 lappy & 1 PC each running Windows, 1 Zoom H2 recorder, 1 iKey recorder
